"The Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald" is not just a song written by Gordon Lightfoot. The SS Edmund Fitzgerald was a Great Lakes freighter that sank in Lake Superior in November of 1975. What caused the sinking of this mighty ship? We'll explore this Great Lakes tragedy together.
About the Presenter: A graduate of the MCC-to-OU B.A. history program, Charlie specializes in Michigan history and humanity's relationship to the natural world. Mr. Shelton is employed by the Huron-Clinton Metroparks (www.metroparks.com) as a community outreach interpreter.
